PUPPER UPDATES

As usual, it has been a busy week here at DRBC. We have an Orange Paw update on Jeffery the Puppy. He is gaining weight and learning to be a good pupper in spite of his neuro problems. He still shakes and bobbles as he walks or tries to run. We want to thank everyone that has supported Jeffery. We are almost at our goal. Can you lend Jeffery a hand today? We need to get him that MRI to determine what direction his care will take.

Please visit our YouCaring site to learn more and make your donation today.

Next up, puppies are coming!!!!  It took some doing, but we have saved 4 puppies! They are traveling and will reach us shortly. Get ready to welcome Will, George, Kate, and Charlotte! It won't be long before this little clan is looking for their forever homes. Please wish them well and safe travels as they move into DRBC this weekend. Get those prayers and shoutouts going!

We also have a needy trio inbound. Not the best picture in the world, but our favorite kind of effort. These three were dumped at a shelter and slated for euthanasia. No more. They are enroute to DRBC and will arrive this afternoon.

Chico is our latest Foundation effort. Downed by IVDD, his Mom ill as well, she did not know what to do and reached out to DRBC. We rushed to get him into our care. We are happy to report that he has started to show signs of recovery after just a week. Dr Karen Collins, VMD and her team went work on Chico and got a get response on acupuncture. Now, he is at home PT will continue and hopefully, his road back to Mom will be a short one. Please send your love and support today; your comments are always welcome too! Hang in there Chico!

Things get so crazy here behind the scenes at DRBC, but we wanted to give you an update today on Sassy and a long overdue thank you to a special group that made her recovery that much cozier! Sassy is doing great. She is out of pain and has adapted to the loss of her eye. We want to send a special shout out to FABB, Fur Angel Blessing Blanketeers. This group made Sassy a special blanket to help her recover. She loves it and is often seen cuddling and walking around with it over her shoulders. What a dox!

Marissa is one of the DRBC GrandPaws doxies and will spend the rest of her life within the care of the rescue due to her diabetes. She loves the love and we love her. Hey Marissa!

Here are our winners!
Picture
Daisy is a little sweet girl. Very very cute. In this picture she was refreshing herself after a hot summer day
Picture
Fritzi McBiterson can be described as having a hunger for life; he has sunken his teeth into more than one member of the always-tasty DRBC family. His earlier foster families nursed this blind and broken-legged guy back to health, and he finally found a quiet forever home where advice from the DRBC trainer helped him mellow into a very pleasant little companion. In spite of being familiar to the Upper Dublin police for his wandering ways, Fritz is still a shining example of how DRBC doesn't give up on doggies, and will stick by them until they find them a home that best fits their needs.

Hi I'm Annie, I'm a 1 year old wire-haired doxie, my mom and dad think I'm a little cutie pie. My nickname is Annie Bananni or banana. My best friend is Waldo who is a 6 year old smoothie. I love to chase squirrels, birds and my ball, I also hop like a rabbit.
Picture
Sayla was adopted by me at 8 weeks old. She is a dapple with one blue eye. She is cute, sweet, and loving. She loves her Dachshund brother Lionel and her Shichon brother Pooch. Sayla loves to play with Pooch and when she gets tired loves to snuggle with Lionel. She loves barking at everything.
Picture
Chase McSnoogle is a fun loving mini-dachshund. He lives with his 3 doggie brothers and cat sister - all rescues. Chase enjoys barking, not listening, stealing treats, stealing toys, but most of all always looking super cute! Chase is always on alert for a visitor, another doggie, or just a leaf blowing by the house. This picture is Chase enjoying his vacation in Duck, NC. He would love to be a summer model :-)
Picture
Leo and Lana are both DRBC graduates….they love roasting in the sun, hunting chipmunks, going for long walks, snuggling under the covers and most of all they love KIBBLE!!!!
Picture
Ava is the sweetest little mini. She loves giving face kisses, getting treats, and sleeping under the covers. Her new favorite thing is to visit the local coffee shop where she sometimes gets a special puppy biscotti!
Picture
Spike is 12 years old and is the sweetest, mildest dog. He loves everyone. Rocky is 11 years old and has had 2 disc surgeries. He was paralyzed at the age of 3, but after his surgeries, he was able to run again. They do everything together. Spike laid right by Rocky side while he was recuperating from his surgeries.
Picture
Henry, our 2-year-old chocolate dapple, loves to play ball until he can't play ball anymore and keeps our yard free of those pesky squirrels and birds. Susan, our 1-year-old red dapple, loves to chew on bones, annoy Henry by trying to steal his ball, and snuggle with anyone who will let her. They are pictured here and very intrigued by a pumpkin last fall season :)
Picture
Norman was named after "Norman Bates" because as a kid he would go Psycho! Since then he has grown up to be a real Cutie Pie and is very entertaining and talkative. How many dogs do you know that can tell you the sound a train makes? and a car? Norman proudly does!!!
Picture
PJ (right) is extremely energetic and athletic. He would love nothing more than to be outside all day, every day, running around and exploring. His mom and dad can barely keep up with him, even though he's getting old. Bailey (left) is more relaxed (most of the time), more willing to snuggle, and just loves to be around people or other pups. Together, they are quite the dynamic duo.
Picture
Truman was rescued from Texas. He was born with only three legs and no one wanted him. He was scheduled to be put down. We flew him to Oklahoma City and drove down to get him. He has turned into my husbands best friend . No restrictions at all. To think , no one wanted that precious face .. He is so happy and so are we.
Picture
Miss Mollie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 5, 2015. She was a beautiful soul and is missed dearly. She was a great soccer player and always had a ball to chase. Mollie loved picking her own tomatoes in the garden. She knew just which ones were ripe. Her favorite were golden grape tomatoes.
Picture
Skooter is a 12 year old mini doxie and has been with me since he was 10 weeks old. As he grows older, his brown fur fading to white, he still has the spirit of the puppy I came home with many years ago. I call him my "little old man", he can be temperamental, stubborn and persistant at times but most of all very loving. Skooter is the best little companion! Fineas was rescued from our local shelter at the age of one. He is part doxie and part terrier with a bundle of energy and brings lots of joy to the household. Fineas and Skooter bonded rather quickly and Fineas found out soon enough who wears the pants in the family...the little guy with the big attitude! I couldn't imagine having any other dogs in my life then Skooter & Fineas! :)

There is good news on Mulligan as well today! You may remember that this guy was thrown from a moving vehicle after being burned. Well all healed, this little boy has found his forever home and will now only know a life of love and spoiling. Please help Mull get off to the right start with a big round of likes, shares and notes of encouragement. Congrats Mulligan!

PINK PAW UPDATE - DAISY □□□ We have some great news to report this morning on one of our GrandPaws doxies, Daisy. She has almost gotten all of her hair back [she came to DRBC with a very bad skin infection] and she is now enjoying her time outside soaking up the sun and watching the leaves blow by. How about a round of likes and shares for this little girl today? Yeah Daisy!
